OUR NAME

The meaning behind each.

Our name carries more than identity. It carries meaning, purpose, and pride.

Redtails

The Redtails are our men’s team. The name comes from the Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, a bird known for its strength, resilience, and connection to Country. It’s a name that honours community and culture while symbolising the boldness and brilliance of our male players, strong in spirit, proud in identity, and united in purpose.

Pinktails

The Pinktails are our women’s team. The Pinktails were created to stand alongside the Redtails, reflecting balance, equality, and shared purpose. While inspired by the same Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, their story colours the feather pink, a symbol of pride, unity, and strength that honours women and girls. It represents empowerment, leadership, and the courage of those who continue to rise strong on and off the field.

Right Tracks

Right Tracks our youth Development Pathway. This Right Tracks is our youth development and life mentoring program, the pathway that drives everything we do. It’s about more than footy; it’s about helping young people find their direction in life through sport, education, employment, and cultural connection. The program’s symbol, the feather of the Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, represents strength, balance, and guidance, the same values that keep our players grounded and moving forward. Right Tracks helps young people stay on the ball, stay connected, and stay strong, on the field and beyond.

IDENTITY

The Red-tailed Black Cockatoo is more than our symbol, it’s the heart of who we are. Its striking feathers of red, orange, and gold reflect the strength, resilience, and spirit that define our teams and our community. Grounded in culture and soaring with purpose, this bird reminds us to stay connected to where we come from and to rise together toward what’s ahead.
