The Redtails are a Central Australian men’s representative football team for Aboriginal players aged 17 to 30. Selection is not just based on talent; it’s based on behaviour, attitude, commitment, and positive engagement in community life.

What We Do

Provide weekly footy training and team development sessions focused on discipline, teamwork, and personal responsibility.

Support young men to engage with health education, culture, employment, and leadership.

Run camps and workshops covering mental health, women’s wellbeing, self-care, goal-setting, and respectful relationships.

Host competitive matches regionally and interstate, celebrating talent and commitment.

Include older Redtails players as peer mentors and community leaders.

Why It Matters

Many young men in the region face challenges such as disengagement from school, unemployment, and contact with the justice system. Redtails gives them a meaningful, positive identity and an incentive to change. It builds pride, purpose, and connection. Players become role models within their families and communities.
